Description
First developed in 1993 for a competition in America for the RAF Regiment (The Peacekeeper Challenge -1993). It quickly became the boot of choice for many UK police forces. This was the first boot in the UK to be certified to a police specification that included shock absorption, water repellency, breathability, flame resistance, etc. requirements specifically for police use. Certified to BSEN 20347:2012.
Altberg boots use top quality full grain leather and it is essential that the leather is treated regularly with Leder-Gris wax oil in order to keep the leather supple and enhance the life of the boot. See instructions in the Police Boots User Guide or click for more information.

Size & fitting advice
For medium feet we suggest that you go up ½ a size on your shoe size - this works ok in 80% of cases and allows for a thicker sock to be used with the boots. The following 4 widths - XN, N, W, XW, may be specially ordered from the factory. However, for special orders a factory visit may be required for foot measuring and trying on
