ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT ANKLE HEIGHT HOT WEATHER BOOT - MILITARY SPECIFICATION
Description
The Base boot Mk 2 is a revised model which uses European 2.0mm full grain suede, the design across the forefoot has been revised to give more breathability and flexing endurance.
The Base boot uses many of the same materials which has been used in Altbergs military desert boots, for the past 25 years, in some of the harshest terrains on the planet. The lower ankle height gives increased mobility with excellent ankle support and torsional control of the foot.
The full grain suede (2.0mm) is combined with military grade breathable Cordura®, and the forefoot and tongue are lined with spacer meshtex, which has zero moisture retention.
The boot is built on the AForme footshape, which uses running shoe dynamics and technology, with narrow heel and waist.
NOTE: with suede boots - always dry very slowly, follow the instructions in the Altberg suede boot user guide. Please also see video on Suede Boots - Drying Out & Treatment.

Size & fitting advice
The AForme refers to the more asymmetric shape of the last. Many of the features are taken from running shoe characteristics, a narrower heel and waist to hold and support the rear of the foot, an increased upwards toe lift (rocker), reduced sideways pressure on the large toe, and a wider forefoot with slightly above medium volume.
