3 Season Nubuck Trekking boot

Description

The Nordkapp boot is designed for hiking on Lakeland Fells and mountain trails. The upper is one piece of 2.6mm water repellent Nubuck full grain leather. Nordkapp has strong underfoot support, the higher collar gives excellent ankle stability, and the high rand gives increased resistance to abrasion. For increased waterproofing, the Nubuck leather may be treated with Leder-Gris wax oil (see user guide instructions), but note this will permanently change the finish of the Nubuck.

*PLEASE NOTE THE NORDKAPP WILL BE CHANGING FROM NUBUCK TO FULL GRAIN LEATHER DURING 2023*

The Nordkapp is made on the AForme last, details of the fitting are at the bottom of this page.

NOTE: With Nubuck boots there is a choice of bootcare options - pay extra special attention to the instructions options in the Altberg Nubuck User Guide. Please also see videos on Drying Out Leather Boots  and Nubuck Treatment Options.

Size & fitting advice

The AForme refers to the more asymmetric shape of the last. Many of the features are taken from running shoe characteristics, a narrower heel and waist to hold and support the rear of the foot, an increased upwards toe lift (rocker), reduced sideways pressure on the large toe, and a wider forefoot with slightly above medium volume
